Donation Items Needed

Our main source of funding is charitable donations from businesses and individuals.

Equine Solutions welcomes your gently used, new, and collectible items. All proceeds will go to benefit Horse/Animal Rescues Nationwide.

If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you are entitled to claim a charitable deduction for your donations. According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a taxpayer can deduct the fair market value of clothing, household goods, used furniture, shoes, books and so forth. Fair market value is the price a willing buyer would pay for them. Value usually depends on the condition of the item. By law, a charity cannot tell you what your donated items are worth. This is something you must do yourself.

New Federal Income tax regulations require donors claiming deductions for charitable contributions consisting of property other than cash worth more than $500 to file Internal Revenue Service Form 8283, Non cash Charitable Contributions.

For detail information from the IRS on determine the value of donated property, please visit the IRS website: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8283.pdf
